Center for Financial Education’s mission is “Transforming lives through Christ centered financial education.” We help people feel financial hope. Through free, confidential, personal consultations, we assist our clients in budget development, organizing debts, balancing checkbooks, managing bills, and paying creditors in a timely manner. As a Christian-based organization, our objectives with every client are to teach them to: eliminate debt; use the principle of contentment to guide financial decision making; build an emergency fund; better manage money; and understand the benefits of “paying it forward”. We walk alongside clients, offering compassionate, non-judgmental guidance in improving their own circumstances.
Our mission as a non-profit organization is to transform lives through Christ centered financial education. We assist our clients in budget development, organizing debts, balancing checkbooks, managing bills, and paying creditors in a timely manner. Who We Serve
In the year 2018, we were privileged to help people from 44 ZIP codes (with incomes ranging from below the poverty line into six-figures) throughout Northwest Iowa feel financial hope. Our objective with every client, no matter what their income, are to teach them to: eliminate debt: use the principle of contentment to guide financial decision making: build an emergency fund: better manage money: and understand the benefits of "paying it forward." Seventy-eight percent of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. According to the Federal Reserve Board, 40% of Americans do not have cash on hand to cover a $400 emergency. We know there are many inner area (and everywhere!) who are one emergency away from a full-blown financial crisis. It is our desire to teach ways to manage money so that such crises are prevented.
